This Privacy Policy explains how AI Resume Builder ("the Service", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. It covers the AI Resume Builder Android app. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we process

• Resume content you enter or upload — such as your name, email address, phone number, location, links, work experience, education, projects, skills, and languages, including the text extracted from any PDF or Word (.docx) resume you choose to upload.
• Purchase information — when you buy the paid download, the payment is processed by Google Play. We receive only the confirmation needed to verify the purchase; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or banking details.
• Basic technical data — standard request information (such as a network request needed to process your resume). We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. How we use your information

• To let you create, edit, preview, and export your resume as a PDF or Word document.
• To perform the optional AI enhancement, which rewrites your resume text using stronger, professional language.
• To verify a purchase so we can unlock the paid download.

3. AI processing

When you use the AI enhancement feature, the resume text you provide is sent to our secure backend and then to Google’s Gemini API to generate the improved content. This processing happens only when you actively request enhancement. Google processes the data under its own terms; see the Gemini API terms and Google Privacy Policy.

4. Where your data is stored

• On your device: your resume is saved locally on your device so you can return to it later. You can clear it any time using the Reset option or by uninstalling the app.
• On our server: resume text is processed transiently to generate the enhanced result and to verify purchases. We do not maintain user accounts and do not build long-term profiles of you. Purchase-verification tokens are short-lived.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app’s features:

• Google (Gemini API) — to generate AI-enhanced resume text.
• Google Play Billing — to process and verify purchases.
• Our hosting provider — to run the backend that performs the above.

6. Data retention

Resume content on your device stays until you reset or uninstall the app. On our server, resume text is used only to fulfil your request and is not retained for profiling. Purchase tokens are kept only as long as needed to verify and honour a purchase.

7. Security

Data in transit is protected using HTTPS/TLS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Children

The app is intended for users aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your choices & rights

• You can edit or delete your resume data at any time via Reset or by uninstalling.
• You control what you upload and whether to use AI enhancement.
• To request deletion of any data associated with a purchase, contact us (below).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
